About AME

About AML (Aircraft Maintenance License Engineer)

AML also known as ‘certifying staff’ means personnel responsible for the release of an A/C or a component after maintenance.

An A/C maintenance engineer is maintenance personnel who basically ensures that an Aircraft is in airworthy condition and operates properly and safely.

An A/C maintenance engineer carries out inspections, repairs, replacements, overhaul, modification or defect rectification of an A/C or its component to ensure that the A/C is fit for the intended flight.

Daily duties may include inspections, scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs and record keeping of all maintenance activities.

Practical Learning

Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology is committed to giving you a hands-on practical experience on a live aircraft in a real maintenance environment.TIAT has an arrangement with India’s leading airlines and MRO’s for providing an actual environmental training to the students

After TIAT

After completion of the 2 years program students will be undergoing apprenticeship in one of the EASA approved Part-145 organisation to gain practical experience.
After gaining this practical experience with all the modules cleared one can apply for AML (Aircraft Maintenance License under EASA Part-66)
