About Aircraft Maintenance License (AML)

To assure safety within the aviation industry, engineer personnel’s are licensed in the same way as pilots and air traffic controllers. If suitably licensed, an engineer can certify the work that has been carried out on an aircraft and return it to service. AML does not cover the scope to certify the aircraft or job carried out on it, but it is the basic requirement to become a certified engineer. There are several categories of licenses which cover different levels and disciplines.
